John Lafford Purchased Historic Property at 131 Main Street Sackville New Brunswick Property in 2022

Lafford's smartgrowth development next to University's "Swan Pond" increasing "density" downtown.

Lafford [a "preferred developer"] has purchased the iconic property that had been owned by Gordon Hallet Beal who passed away in 2021...

Mansion house is known as Joseph F. Allison House, according to historicplaces.ca.

More here on the history:  HistoricPlaces.ca - HistoricPlaces.ca

Students being evicted in the winter was not a good look for our town at all...

"Planner Lori Bickford says a complaint came in to her office this summer about renovations happening at 131 Main Street, without a building permit. That complaint led to an inspection, the discovery of the zoning infraction and safety issues, and the town issuing an order in August. After the Beals failed to comply, the town took them to court."

More here on what Mr. Beal - who had tried to develop the property with rental suites - was put through by current 'management' and Jamie Burke CAO of the Town of Sackville:

John Lafford has a lot of properties in town and is a very wealthy businessman/developer/builder - including his new "Three Sisters on the River" Moncton development - a massive undertaking sure to provide much needed housing units - article here:

I've often thought how amazing a 17-storey highrise in Sackville would be one day-- with stunning, panoramic views I'm sure there are lots of people who would love to live in a very roomy, sunny, airy, luxury suite with views to the north, south, east and west including terraces, balconies for additional space in outdoor living and for growing plants and veggies and relaxing in fresh air spaces... that would be incredible!  Will John Lafford be inspired to build the "first one" in Tantramarshire.

Lafford says he plans to use the 131 Main Street property for a boutique hotel for the town that the visiting Mount Allison University Alumni would enjoy and he hasn't ruled out putting in some rental housing there also because it makes a good location for residences.... interview by Erica Butler here:

This situation is the work of US Rockefeller Brothers & Co conspiracy against Canadian oil, and Canadian Trudeau federal hate for Alberta, plus British Columbia “greens” & commies opposition to a pipeline. Alberta is in a corner and will separate from Canada is this continues.

RMR: Rick in Oil Sands - 2005

video from Rick Mercer, 2005.. I'm standing with these people.  See more at:
http://canadaaction.ca .. please stand with the hard working people in Canada's oil patch. #boycott Saudi Oil #support Energy East Pipeline #Stop technocracy..

These hardworking Canadians are the very people that regional 'change agents' like Megan Mitton, Prof. Michael Fox, Prof. Bradley Walters, Marg & Eric Tucz-King, Bill Evans, Heather Patterson, Laura Reisborough, Sabine Dietz, Ron Aiken, Bruce Wark, Bruce Phinney, Allison Butcher, Mayor Higham, David Coon, Liz May, David Suzuki, Andrew Black, Julia Feltham, and so many others around here would like to see put out of work and into poverty .... So sad and unhelpfu! Big congratulations 'minions' on being useful idiots and part of the 'technocracy' who want to impoverish Canadians and take away their livelihoods in a resource-rich nation.  Thanks to Joyce McNeil for standing up for Canadian pipelines.  http://technocracy.news

Canada Action ~ Ethical Oil Sands Action

\

Canadian oil sands and energy development .. learn more about our innovative, technological advances that are the envy of the world. Way to go Canada..... "Oil Sands Action" Facebook .. its about education for Canadians .. support Canada. . learn the facts about our industries , reclamation lands, and prosperity

These photos of oil sands courtesy of Hamish Hopkins who writes: "I read an interesting opinion on the Canadian Oil-sands that made me chuckle. A guy wrote "I've been on the banks of the Athabasca river on a hot summer day & the Bitumen (oil trapped in sand) oozes out of the banks NATURALLY as it has for untold millennium. The vegetation on the reclaimed sites are far more robust and healthy looking than the scrubby Jack Pines that struggle to grown in Bitumen laden earth" ... So....basically, you can look at it like this....by stripping the oil sands of the oil, we are actually CLEANING up a NATURALLY POLLUTED area!!! The pictures I've attached start with a natural area with Bitumen oozing out, open pit mining for oil sands (pretty ugly, but only happens in areas where bitumen is close to the surface), SAGD drilling operations for bitumen at greater depths, & reclaiming of the land after operations. This is the cycle that happens in Canada!"

Thanks and agreed... Alberta Canada needs to be promoted and valued .. their innovative technology is the envy of the world... we are a resource rich country... we are very lucky....

With special thanks also to Alex Epstein [ author of "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels"] , Ezra Levant [author of "Ethical Oil"], Tim Moen, Michelle Stirling, Patrick Wood, Patrick Moore, Dr Tim Ball, and Canada's iconic writer Elaine Dewar [ Cloak of Green ].. and J.D. King filmmaker of "Blue" ..https://vimeo.com/147512776 ... all great advocates and all others helping our industries... seehttp://technocracy.news

There is no honour among thieves......

A few years ago I was reporting on the 'fat cats' sending more money to Mount Allison University for another pet "climate related" project...

so when people tell me to start up a fundraiser for the skatepark project I've been promoting here for our youth I point to this example as to why children should not ever be asked to raise money for a project at all .. the taxes paid are public monies for projects that benefit the public.

Despite this multi-million dollar generous chunk of change being happily dropped into the environmentalists' tip jar it really didn't help the Liberals secure this riding in the last election .. imagine that?  Maybe they should have thought of the regular Canadians - instead of behaving like sycophants to the academics... ?

No pipelines will get built; no much needed energy projects will be advanced .. sadly - its all just about cronyism ... its just about sucking money from the public purse and appearing to be constructive.  Mount Allison University sucks hard on the tit... I say they need to be cut off ... I'd say they've taken far more than enough.

Brian Gallant still appears to be in shock that he lost this election.. I'm not.. I realize how hard the 'green' push in this province... culturally 'green' is more powerful than 'big oil' .. but no one ever talks about 'big green' .. do they?
"Big Green" are very powerful behind the scenes... don't underestimate them.. another word you can use to describe them is "technocrats".
