[revised] mta.ca mafa is decidedly anti-industry & anti-capitalism .. that is a BIG problem.

Couldn't join in the 'fun' public event with Naomi Klein
held in January 2016 at Mount Allison University's Convocation Hall.

The whackademics here are well aware of the advocacy that I am doing.
I've been confronted and told that I am pissing off a lot of people... imagine that?

Would have asked anti-capitalism shill
Naomi Klein if she had read Alex Epstein's great book
"The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels"

The university anti-resource development culture who does not present a balanced argument when it comes to resources in Canada along with brainwashed 'divest mta' minions continually influence the politicians and policies at the town hall .. there is no doubt about this fact around here... and yes, its a big problem -- a vocal shrill minority of anti-development cretins are an angry ill-informed mob dictating policy.. not helpful.
I observe with interest; thanks Bruce Wark for the coverage ... and take note of the local politicians and how they voted below:

Ron Aiken is running for Mayor this year against Shawn Mesheau:

"The five councillors who voted in favour of the motion opposing the pipeline were Bill Evans, Megan Mitton, Allison Butcher, Bruce Phinney and Andrew Black.

Councillors Ron Aiken, Joyce O’Neil and Michael Tower voted against the motion introduced by Bill Evans."

The local university produces "Emma" types
who live in fear of the climate.

2017 talk with Alex Epstein, author of "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels".
Fossil fuels improve our lives and our economies ... I am grateful for them.

Those who declare “climate emergency”—when climate-related deaths are at an all-time low—are bringing about something incomparably scarier: an “energy emergency.”

Al Gore: Snake Oil Salesman #carbon tax is theft #stop technocracy

  1. “Clean” and “Dirty” are stupid words to compare tech. Dirt is dirty & we grow all our food in it. says “dirty energy makes dirty weather”. So “dirty” is an epithet meaning “bad”, as in “dirty rotten scoundrel”. Coal my be dirty but it is old dead trees made with sunshine.

Also --

some recommended reading, books, for ALL the young 'Greta' - like climate hysteria activists: [ I wonder: do young people even read anymore or just learn to make demands and signs to hold up and protest and march with ... ? ] .. Megan Mitton, Green Team, Green Dreams, Technocracy.... Freedom Slips...

Its unclear [ no street signage] as to where the offices are for Megan Mitton - MLA/députée, Memramcook-Tantramar but possibly somewhere in the building with the funded group EOS Eco-Energythe NGO that helped to promote her and get her elected in this riding where birds of a feather flock together -- at 26 years old with a comfy $85K per annum salary - not bad pay - this politician is already complaining about daycare issues and working to scare the children and make sure you get the carbon tax .. #carbon tax is theft folks..... http://plantsneedco2.org/ .... Canada is a carbon sink ~#green is the new red [ Patrick Wood - technocracy.news ]

I don't drive a car often and I am fortunate I can work from home ... since 2016 I don't own a car .. but I love cars and I love the freedom they afford us to travel and commute to work .. I am also someone who walks all over the place but I would never call myself green.. I'm blue .. I promote fossil fuels because they are abundant, affordable and very useful in improving our lives.. I am grateful for them.

I gave Wendy and Kelly Alder at the Tantramar Gasbar two of these tshirts to show my support for them.... you will find them available at Alex Epstein's website - " I Love Fossil Fuels " USA ....

I respect people and their right to drive cars, ride ATVs and motorcycles, and big trucks... I say that's liberty and liberty is important... more important than people realize at this point .. and its slipping away quickly under the influence of people who want to comply with an agenda that will remove your rights and fossil fuel freedoms.. buckle up Tantramar!

The current regime is not made up of particularly bright people.. but they are definitely 'compliant'.

Power Hour: The true cost of solar ~ Center for Industrial Progress : Alex Epstein

https://industrialprogress.com/the-true-cost-of-solar/

The true cost of solar

You’ll often hear claims that wind and solar are super-affordable. For example, I recently read a report from Axios claiming solar and wind are now three times cheaper than nuclear.
They reach this conclusion by looking at energy costs per unit of energy used–and supposedly this reflects the “all-in” lifetime costs of each energy source.
What the Axios article never mentions is that solar and wind are not reliable.
But what we need in the world is abundant, reliable energy. If you can’t produce energy reliably you’re not playing the same game. You’re mostly serving as a parasite on reliable energy.
How do we quickly convey that the alleged price of unreliable energy has nothing to do with the price of reliable energy?
One question I find helpful to cut through the noise is: “What is the cost of self-sufficientsolar?”
Just like a nuclear plant or a coal plant can produce reliable power, and we can assess that cost, I want to know the cost per unit of energy of producing abundant, reliable power just using solar and storage.
The answer, actually, is that we don’t know since no industrial location uses self-sufficient solar–which is not a good sign in terms of the affordability of solar.
But we should have an estimate. For example, to have 100 MW of self-sufficient solar capacity you might need 400 MW of solar capacity plus a huge amount of battery reserve for reliability.
Another cost that would be good to know is: What is the cost of fossil-free self-sufficient solar–that is, what if you couldn’t use fossil fuels to produce solar energy?
When someone brings up “the cost of solar,” these are the costs we should be asking about. These are the real costs of solar–the costs no one is willing or able to pay.
