Pioneering settlers grew hemp in this region in the 1700s, reviving Hemp History Week

Reposting from 2017.....

green triangles for
hemp history week...
and more from Doug Fine
a book "Hemp Bound"
- ordered my copy from the
locals at Tidewater Books...

This link is really helpful on hemp and construction eco building presentation

Take Notice: "Hemp History Week" is June 2018 ... more to follow .. in the coming weeks and months.... I'm also recommending people keep up with the work of former Tantramar resident Rick Simpson at his publishing company simpsonramadur.com .. Rick's advocacy work for this plant is unmatched in Canada ... Happy Birthday on November 30th Rick.. a true Cdn hero.

So the historical record for Tantramar shows us that:

In 1767, Sackville had already made considerable progress. A return made by Lieut. Governor Franklin, embracing a census of the 30 townships into which the Province was then divided, shows Sackville had then a population of 349 persons, 343 of whom were Americans. It possessed also the following:--

Horses 48
Oxen 133
Cows 250
Young head cattle 347
Swine 63
Grist Mills 1
Saw 1

Produce in 1766--
Wheat, bus.-- 1035
Rye, bus. 1278
Pease, bus. 53
Barley, bus. 35
Oats, bus. 34
Hemp seed 10 1/2
Flax seed 53
Flax 9
Born during the year 26
Died 6

In 1763, a petition from Cumberland for land grants was sent to the government. Amongst the names on the petition were: Brook Watson, John Horton and Alex and William of the same name, Joseph Moore, Elijah Ayre, Obediah Ayre, Joseph Ayre, Samuel Gay and Martin Gay, Jonathan Eddy, Jonathan Coe, Daniel Gooden, Charles Oulton, Liffy Chappel, Jabez Chappell, Anthony Buck, Abel Richardson, George Allen, Nehemiah Ward, John Fillmore.

[revised] mta.ca mafa is decidedly anti-industry & anti-capitalism .. that is a BIG problem.

Couldn't join in the 'fun' public event with Naomi Klein
held in January 2016 at Mount Allison University's Convocation Hall.

The whackademics here are well aware of the advocacy that I am doing.
I've been confronted and told that I am pissing off a lot of people... imagine that?

Would have asked anti-capitalism shill
Naomi Klein if she had read Alex Epstein's great book
"The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels"

The university anti-resource development culture who does not present a balanced argument when it comes to resources in Canada along with brainwashed 'divest mta' minions continually influence the politicians and policies at the town hall .. there is no doubt about this fact around here... and yes, its a big problem -- a vocal shrill minority of anti-development cretins are an angry ill-informed mob dictating policy.. not helpful.
I observe with interest; thanks Bruce Wark for the coverage ... and take note of the local politicians and how they voted below:

Ron Aiken is running for Mayor this year against Shawn Mesheau:

"The five councillors who voted in favour of the motion opposing the pipeline were Bill Evans, Megan Mitton, Allison Butcher, Bruce Phinney and Andrew Black.

Councillors Ron Aiken, Joyce O’Neil and Michael Tower voted against the motion introduced by Bill Evans."

The local university produces "Emma" types
who live in fear of the climate.

The race for Canada's best climate plan | At Issue

WARNING:  CBC propaganda is bad for your health and your sanity, shut it off.

"Energy East" is a great way to 'move forward' safely in developing and advancing the energy sector of our nation... these people at the CBC are out to lunch...

Just another pile of horseshit delivered, again, by CBC and their fake biased panels for the public's consumption.  ANY political parties promoting carbon tax are criminals and should be voted out of office this October 2019!

The PPC Party does not conform to this version of anti-industry anti-oil and gas fear propaganda... Maxime Bernier's party will not increase the hysteria on climate.  Guaranteed.  Our energy sectors are important and vital industries.

Follow:  https://twitter.com/MaximeBernier

The more craziness and fear-mongering comes out of Ottawa, like this week’s debates in the HoC about declaring a state of “climate emergency,” the more Canadians will react against it, as voters have just done in several other countries.

Cucked Cdn Mayor's Climate Rant: Town Says No to Energy East

Obviously this sends a message to Canadian ethical oil and gas industries... SACKVILLE DOES NOT SUPPORT YOU .. this is an epic fail and one that did not go unnoticed by industry... the question is this:  Does the Mayor really think most Canadians are concerned about jobs and economy or are they wrapped up in climate fear like he is... see my earlier post on pipelines and protestors here  .. I didn't think that we could have so much stupid on town council... but there you have it ... way to go elected minions.. way to work for the 'technocrats' and anti-human anti-development, crony green eco-fascists... I won't be supporting this Mayor in the next election.. I don't like his priorities at all.  Support Canadians at work in oil and gas -- ethical industry -- in Canada here ... of further note.. this Mayor is clearly on board with carbon tax/carbon pricing.. I'm not .. #stop the carbon tax #carbon tax is theft #stop the technocracy

As for the presentations by the vocal shrill minority in NB ... the usual suspects' finger prints are all over this 'production' ... including Prof. Brad Walters, an extremely aggressive man, an eco-radical and someone who chose to yell in my face dramatically at local pub book signing event a while back... and also, the infamous 'climate parent' Mark D'arcy who is perpetually afraid of climate and fossil fuels.... and spreads propaganda to all corners of New Brunswick Canada as a career.... far be it from little old me to interfere with their theatrical production in the 'town hall stage'.  Geez.
