[revised] mta.ca mafa is decidedly anti-industry & anti-capitalism .. that is a BIG problem.

Couldn't join in the 'fun' public event with Naomi Klein
held in January 2016 at Mount Allison University's Convocation Hall.

The whackademics here are well aware of the advocacy that I am doing.
I've been confronted and told that I am pissing off a lot of people... imagine that?

Would have asked anti-capitalism shill
Naomi Klein if she had read Alex Epstein's great book
"The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels"

The university anti-resource development culture who does not present a balanced argument when it comes to resources in Canada along with brainwashed 'divest mta' minions continually influence the politicians and policies at the town hall .. there is no doubt about this fact around here... and yes, its a big problem -- a vocal shrill minority of anti-development cretins are an angry ill-informed mob dictating policy.. not helpful.
I observe with interest; thanks Bruce Wark for the coverage ... and take note of the local politicians and how they voted below:

Ron Aiken is running for Mayor this year against Shawn Mesheau:

"The five councillors who voted in favour of the motion opposing the pipeline were Bill Evans, Megan Mitton, Allison Butcher, Bruce Phinney and Andrew Black.

Councillors Ron Aiken, Joyce O’Neil and Michael Tower voted against the motion introduced by Bill Evans."

Canada is a Nation Undergoing Profound Demographic & Cultural Change

1875 Methodist Church demolished 2015..

Canada is undergoing profound demographic & cultural change ~ replacing the [EuroCanadian] population at the fastest rate on the planet..

Halifax city council votes to remove of Edward Cornwallis statue.

Victoria city council votes to remove John A. Macdonald statue.

Coast to coast statues are being removed.
Removing statues is a cultural erasure and an attack of EuroCanadians' legacy.

New Westminster City Council votes to remove Begbie statue.

Despite protests and a generous donation offered by
the Irving family to preserve this historic campus building....

Mount Allison University demolishes War Memorial Library.

While many seem to be celebrating the 'transformation' there are those who are grieving their nation's rapid transformation... and political parties are forming in a reaction to the 'erasure of white European heritage and culture'.

One can be pro-immigration and still oppose mass immigration and not be a racist, bigot, xenophobic, white supremicist .. and its very reasonable to suggest that limiting immigration could be a wise thing for Canadians at this point in time.
The experiment known as " multiculturalism " was just that: an experiment.

EuroCanadian.ca -- not a global citizen, not on unceded territory.. Canadian.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. - H. L. Mencken

The Political Economy of "Truth and Reconciliation": Neotribal Rentierism and the Creation of the Victim/Perpetrator Dichotomy - Frances Widdowson

The Political Economy of “Truth and Reconciliation”:
Neotribal Rentierism and the Creation of the
Victim/Perpetrator Dichotomy
Frances Widdowson
Mount Royal University
fwiddowson@mtroyal.ca

Paper Presented at the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Political Science Association, Ryerson University, May 30-June 1, 2017

In his 2013 book Truth and Indignation, Ronald Niezen shows how the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) has transformed the assessment of the residential schools. While historically the schools were seen as a paternalistic and misguided effort to “protect, civilize and assimilate” the aboriginal population,1 they now are described as instruments of “cultural genocide”. This assessment, according to Niezen, is due to the increasing tendency to conceptualize aboriginalnon-aboriginal relations in terms of a “victim/perpetrator dichotomy”.2 In such a dichotomy, all aboriginal people are seen as victims and all non-aboriginal people perpetrators, obscuring the complex historical interaction within and between these two, very diverse, categories of people. Although Niezen’s book is an important addition to the literature, in that it shows how historical viewpoints on aboriginal-non-aboriginal relations are being transformed by entities like the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, his work is limited by the fact that he does not explain why this has occurred. More specifically, Niezen does not recognize how the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is the product of particular historical and material circumstances connected to the processes of neotribal rentierism. As will be explained below, neotribal rentierist processes are oriented towards extracting “rent” so as to incorporate aboriginal groups into late capitalism. The “rent” being sought3 in this instance is the dispersal of compensation payments – a form of circulation that is becoming increasingly common in addressing the conflicts between aboriginal peoples and the Canadian state. The creation of a victim/perpetrator dichotomy justifies these payments, but it also acts to disguise the connection between the development of capitalism and the residential schools. The uncritical reliance on unsubstantiated aboriginal memories by “truth and reconciliation” processes, as well as postmodern relativism’s opposition to developing a universal conception of history, also has impeded understanding...

Canada is Governed By Technocrats in 2017

Trudeau Says His Goal Is To Kill Million Jobs In Alberta

Published on January 13, 2017 in Canada

Justin Trudeau has a long term goal for Alberta, a very shitty goal, a goal that’s going to cost millions of jobs.

Trudeau said on Friday his plan is to phase out all oilsand mines in Alberta.
“We can’t shut down the oilsands tomorrow. We need to phase them out. We need to manage the transition off of our dependence on fossil fuels but it’s going to take time and in the meantime we have to manage that transition,” he said in Peterborough.
Trudeau also said again that it is the responsibility of the national government to get Canadian resources to market.
Brian Jean who fights for the Alberta oilfield and families affected by the harsh economy was quick to respond.
In a news release, Wildrose Leader Brian Jean said Trudeau’s remarks “confirm Albertans’ worst fears about his Liberal government and its plans for our energy sector.”
“By vowing to ‘phase out’ the oil sands, Mr. Trudeau has declared his true feelings towards our province, and Western Canada as a whole,” said Jean.
“The economic benefits of the oil sands are immeasurable.”
Phasing out oilsands will cost millions of jobs, replacing them with what? Something’s that not yet invented and will cost billions of dollars.
Trudeau has a grudge against Alberta and we can see why, please share this article to let the rest of Canada know.

Recommended books purchased through "Tidewater Books" in Sackville NB Canada.. thanks Ellen.

We no longer have a government for the people and for the development and prosperity of the people... we have a government controlled by 'technocrats' .. if this word 'technocrat' is a new term to you or you are trying to understand what it means just know that in simple terms its a 'scientific unelected dictatorship' .. the same people promoting 'carbon tax'  [ #carbon tax is theft ! ] .. learn more at "Technocracy Rising" by Patrick Wood http://technocracy.news .. to be part of the push-back against these 'technocrats' and 'scientists' who influence government and policy and have Trudeau on their leash get active in promoting Canada's industry resource sector... get in touch with Canada Action ... for tshirts and more [free stickers can be mailed to you if you request them by email]

THIS MATTERS:
Because just sitting back and doing nothing while Trudeau's policy destroys existing industry makes no sense to anyone who is paying attention... at this point .. we are in a battle for our country's future prosperity.. we are being told that the use of oil and gas and coal are dirty and bad and polluting and that our use of these resources harms the environment and that carbon is pollution and that co2 causes climate change.... these are all false and misleading and these detrimental premises will be used to diminish our capacity to be productive in industry and in our lives and will lead to further de-industrialization and lowered prosperity.  Without developing our own ethical Canadian resources and being free to develop we will become a nation dependant on foreign oil, or worse, a third world nation with the wrong priorities and lack for human concern.
