Custom small prefabs adapted to area code

The future looks pre-fab with "thoughtfully designed &well built homes for everyone" from "Cover " [ theme is small, compact, on a shared lot .. ]

In 2017, California lawmakers forced cities to relax their regulations on backyard units; Alexis Rivas and Jemuel Joseph were ready with their prefab ADU (accessory dwelling unit) startup and an online tool that allows LA residents to check out just what code would allow them to build in their yards. Confident that the housing industry has yet to be revolutionized by tech, Rivas and Joseph have taken their combined experience in prefab and computational design to start Cover. The company produces CNC-cut panels that click together like LEGOs to become tiny, and small, cottages. The company is also trying to democratize design using algorithmic software to create $250 plans (ranging from a one-room studio to a 2-bedroom home). https://www.cover.build/

Axiom 2350 by Turkel Design - Home Design of the Week!

Send us a note to info@turkeldesign.com to join the TD Community – you’ll receive invitations to our open house events and even more behind-the-scenes footage.

This home, appropriate for narrow city as well as broad lots with expansive views, addresses the street with a private face, while throwing itself open in two directions through the glazed great room. The dining, kitchen, and living room are grouped in an “L” shape that embraces a covered deck. Within this “L,” the ceiling heights vary dramatically, giving each space a distinctive feeling, while maintaining an open flow between them. Discretely tucked away on the main level, a bedroom suite allows for single-level living, if desired.

Among the most delightful spaces is the loft office: perched above the kitchen, it not only looks down on the living and dining rooms, but directs one’s gaze upward and outward.

Your Little Home in the Country - New Brunswick Canada

Little home in the country... affordable rural New Brunswick... see Patti's Wood Point home on acreage listing .. I'd say this is a great deal .. esp for a young growing family... but I also think an artist or an intelligent person escaping the city would love this place as well .. we weren't meant to live in those busy, concrete crowded metropolis centres... Canada is such a huge nation .. and there is so much room... what are people doing pay $1 million for any home?

https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/19767402/single-family-436-rte-935-wood-point-new-brunswick-e4l2k3

If this were my little house I would plant some fruit trees.. grow some food... and try to ignore the crazy going on in the rest of the world for as long as possible.  Life is short - make it a good time... connect with nature and avoid clusterfucks.

Property Guys - Interview with CEO, Ken LeBlanc

Check out the listings at their website .. here's a big beauty for sale in Port Elgin NB link here

I think Ken is definitely on to something with this business model; if you've sold any number of homes in your lifetime you'll know that you kissed goodbye tens of thousands of dollars that isn't in your bank account and perhaps should be... the direct connection between sellers and buyers cuts out the large expense of realtors.
