Yes, check out Vivian Krause on various websites and you’ll see that she, like other climate change deniers, receives quite a bit of funding from the oil and gas sector. What a surprise. She was also involved in salmon farming on the west coast – that turned out to be really good for the environment, didn’t it?
A life without fossil fuels? Like it or not, TLA, fossil fuels are eventually going to run out so regardless of whether you believe the majority of scientists specializing in climate studies who have been warning for years that we have to reduce fossil fuel usage, don’t you think that it would make sense for our federal and provincial governments to increase funding on cleaner, alternative energy research rather than funding the oil and gas industries with approximately 3.3 billion dollars a year. You asked earlier what’s wrong with oil companies making profits. Well, considering the huge profits that they make yearly, I am personally enraged that our government subsidizes such profitable corporations. Talk about dumbing down – you can’t get much dumber than that. Look the information up if you don’t believe it.
Activism taking people off their path and happiness? If it wasn’t for activists and protesters, you, Sally, would not have the right to vote in this country (remember some ladies called Suffragettes who were willing to endure force feeding in prisons in order to fight for their, and your, right to vote). Never find solutions in the protest culture? Tell that to the black population of South Africa who suffered for years under Apartheid until protests against Apartheid in many countries around the world and economic sanctions finally put an end to it. Tell that to the black population of the USA who suffered under segregation, Jim Crow laws, and terrorism imposed on them by ultra right wing groups like the KKK, until the civil rights protests of the 1950’s and 1960’s finally forced the federal
government to protect their rights, including the right to vote, in the deep south states. Martin Luther King and many other activists, both black and white, paid for their commitment to improving the lives of others with their own lives.

I would suggest that you go back to school and take some science and history courses before you spout any more nonsense that you parrot from the right wing publications that you keep citing.
Not commenting out of hatred but out of love? Is that how you would describe your critical remarks about other people in your comments about the stories on The New Wark Times? I think someone is in denial."
Like I said Les Hicks.. I don't follow the herd in this town .. you'll have to deal with it.. self-education requires discipline.. perhaps you're in denial about your education?
