Dominic LeBlanc, Liberal MP for Beauséjour is confronted by the Blogger [ 2012 ] and in 2024 Gun Controls/Buy-Back Schemes

In 2024 here with long time MP Dominic Leblanc:

Suzanne Zaccour [shown in screen capture above] was speaking as a representative of National Association of Women and the Law, a not-for-profit feminist organization

Survivor Nathalie Provost [shown in screen capture below] of "Ecole Polytechnique Montreal" mass shooting of 35 years ago spoke about her desire to confiscate weapons. . . and she recited the names of all the women who were killed on December 7, 1989 by a man who killed himself {shooter Marc Lépine walked into a classroom full of students at the Montreal post-secondary school, ordered the men to leave, proclaimed his hatred for feminism, then opened fire, killing 14 women and injuring 14 others }

Marc Lepine is unnamed in the article below on the Montreal massacre in 1989:

Read more here on Nathalie Provost:

"Penny compared Provost's personal journey to a verse from the poem Half Hanged Mary by Canadian author Margaret Atwood, which is about a woman falsely accused of witchcraft.

"Before, I was not a witch. But now I am one," the poem declares, in a sentiment of solidarity with women who have been unfairly targeted because of their power and independence.

"I know that I am a witch, too," Provost said.

"As am I," Penny echoed.

'It just feels like a very dangerous time'

Penny says she was inspired to write Provost and the Montreal Massacre into her latest novel because of the alarming trends she sees playing out in the news — continuing gun violence and the rise of misogyny and far-right bigotry."

Exciting News! We're thrilled to announce that the Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre has received a significant investment of $582,216 from the Government of Canada. This funding will support the implementation and testing of the Kids' Club & Moms' Empowerment program in Southeastern New Brunswick and the greater Fredericton area, benefiting rural and newcomer communities.
Child maltreatment and family violence are grave public health issues with far-reaching consequences. They impact families across Canada, manifesting in various forms of abuse and neglect, including physical, sexual, and emotional. The Government of Canada is steadfast in its commitment to supporting survivors of family and gender-based violence while prioritizing the health and safety of those at risk.
Kristal LeBlanc, CEO of the Courage Centre - Beauséjour Family Crisis Resources Centre, shared her thoughts on this initiative, stating, "Children who have witnessed family violence experience devastating health impacts that can persist into adulthood, perpetuating the cycle of generational violence. This funding provides a critical opportunity to help our most vulnerable rural francophone and newcomer children in New Brunswick. The evidence-based program Kids' Club and Moms' Empowerment will not only aid in their healing but also shape future policies and programs in our communities."

June 20
Today we would like to highlight our dedicated CEO, Kristal LeBlanc. Pssstt- it also happens to be her Anniversary with her wonderful husband Martin. ❤️
Kristal LeBlanc is the CEO of the Courage Centre operated by the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre. She has been leading this dynamic and passionate team at the Centre since 2011. Kristal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Applied Health Services Research from the University of Prince Edward Island.
From 2017 to 2019, Kristal worked with various community partners to embark on a $4.3M capital campaign to build the first Centre of excellence in trauma-informed practice for victims and perpetrators of crime. This 19,000-square-foot facility brings together diverse partners from health, social services, and criminal justice all in one location.
In 2018, LeBlanc worked with the Courthouse Dog Foundation and Justice Facility Dogs Canada to develop and implement the first Justice Facility Dog program in New Brunswick. Marielle, a 7-year-old standard Poodle from the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, was the first Justice Facility Dog deployed in a New Brunswick courtroom on May 31, 2019. Since this time, Marielle has provided direct testimonial support in more than 95 trials including provincial court (Moncton, Miramichi, Nova Scotia), Court of Kings bench (Moncton), as well as the Nova Scotia Supreme Court. Due to the ever-growing need for this program, LeBlanc created Justice Facility Dogs New Brunswick to provide provincial oversight for JFD expansion. With ever-growing demand, Jaz, a 3-year-old black Labrador Retriever, joined the Courage Centre team in October 2019.
Due to a keen passion for innovative programs, LeBlanc is working with her community partners to develop the first trauma-informed daycare in New Brunswick, and only the second in North America. The “Little Courageous” will be destined for children who have had negative adverse events such as exposure to family violence.
Kristal has been recognized for her work in the community through various awards including a Woman of Distinction Award, Chamber of the Commerce Women of the Year President’s Award from the Chamber of Commerce of Cap-Acadie, Top 20 under 40, a Rotary 101 Resilience Award, as well as a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
We are lucky to have her!

The only thing stronger than fear, Courage.
