"The Argosy" student newspaper, Grace Wilson @ mta.ca promotes violence on/off campus

[video channel was terminated by youtube]

I came across a free copy of the student newspaper from Mount Allison University -- the May 9, 2019 Issue 1, Volume 149 "The Argosy"

Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/TheArgosy/

... I found intel I think is worthwhile noting here... but firstly...

Dear Grace Wilson,
As a serious student and "Music Director" at "CHMA-FM" on campus radio station at Mount Allison University, [in that position since September 20, 2018] I'd like to know something:  Are you fucking serious ? Why are you happily promoting violence and intimidation and bullying against others in this town?  Why don't you instead suggest that more people talk to one another on issues and ideas instead of using their fists?  Is promoting violence something a professor taught you?  Are you aware that your words have consequences in the lives of other students who may be targetted because of your callous disregard for their safety?

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I found this graffiti in town a few years ago as well..
no doubt inspired by the on campus 'social justice' extremists...

At this point in Clown World it could easily be argued that the true fascists are the progressives who promote LGBTQ+ etc and the decolonization racist supremicist anti-white movements on our university campuses... still a bad idea to punch people though... use your words folks.. words not fists.... Matthew Sears UNB deletes his twitter after backlash to his incitement to violence and hate .. archived.. http://archive.is/LQ1FT

The video above was lost because the channel has been removed by youtube and coincidentally this "Argosy" issue does not show up on the archived issues at "Issuu" online open source site -- I wonder why? https://issuu.com/theargosy

The article is a revealing look into the minds of 'social justice' activists in Canada today... Grace Wilson published her opinion in the newspaper at Mount Allison University in the May 9, 2019 under the column "ACTIVISM" and titled her contribution:

"Remember Your Rights (To Punch Nazis)

Mount Allison University appears to be training anyone there that pride in their European roots and ancestry equals white supremicist:  that's really sick gaslighting behaviour... no other race would be subjected to this mind-control program.  http://www.kevinmacdonald.net/WesternOrigins.htm

Replying to @matthewasears
I'm old enough to remember when professors loved free speech and challenged students to listen all view points and make up their own minds. I guess you're too weak to engage in debate. You are a shiny example no person should waste their money on a junk liberal arts degree

Are Women Destroying Academia? Probably. VDARE.com

Are Women Destroying Academia? Probably
"During World War I, seven of the medical schools attached to the University of London decided to start admitting female students, as did Oxford and Edinburgh University. But by 1928, five of these London colleges had decided to stop admitting women, with the other two heavily restricting female numbers. Oxford voted for a ratio of no more than one female for every six males. Male academics and students were concerned that the presence of female students, let alone staff, would “alter the character of the teaching” and lead to “feminine government” of universities [Discussed in Education, by Carol Dyhouse, in Women in Twentieth Century Britain, 2014]. In other words, the “masculine” dimension to academia—rigorously, unemotionally and coldly examining facts and arguments—would be wrecked by the increasing presence of emotional and over-empathetic girls. As females increasingly take over Western universities, now constituting the majority of students in the USA [Why Do Women Outnumber Men in College?NBER Working Paper No. 12139, January 2007], it is becoming clear that these skeptics were right."

The Future of Academia Looks Red - Bolsheviks Chase Out Dissident Academic Voices

A few years ago the Mount Allison University MAFA were on strike for academic freedoms....

All across Canada every day there are acts of censorship and bullying taking place, some quiet and some rather noisy -- this year at UNB Saint John Campus academic Ricardo Duchesne chose to exit from the cacophony after a brutal public academic mobbing and smearing by crappy non-journalistic character hit pieces from HuffPost and others..

None of the crappy attack articles would refute the facts contained in his best-selling book....

https://www.eurocanadian.ca/2019/05/lazy-unb-academics-connive-against-professor-ricardo-duchesne.html

By early June Duchesne leaves UNB SJ and who could blame him? Ricardo knows what's going on and he has been trying to warn others with his concerns for their education as the agenda could not be more clear.

So who are the allies? How do they operate? What's to be done about censorship? There are a few groups so far such as "Students for Western Civilisation" based in Ontario and "ID-Canada.ca"- a national organization.

There were two key UNB players worth noting in his departure:  they were both European [not Canadian raised] women transplanted to Canada--which I find very interesting--especially as their focus is "social justice"---- namely Jula's social justice first nations indigenous focussed efforts..

Ricardo Duchesne's Profile at UNB's website [apparently immediately erased along with his Rate a Professor.. amazing!]

Ricardo Duchesne

Professor

Dr. Duchesne is a professor in the department of social science at the University of New Brunswick Saint John. He completed a BA in History at McGill University and Concordia University, Montreal. In 1987 he obtained an MA at Concordia, where he wrote his thesis on the origins of the French Revolution under the supervision of George Rudé, one of the founders of "history from below". In 1994 he was awarded a doctorate in the renowned multidisciplinary program of Social & Political Thought at York University.
His main fields of concentration were modern European history, political economy, and the philosophy of Hegel. He studied with one of the foremost Hegelian scholars in the English language, H.S. Harris, and with Thomas T. Sekine, a Japanese economist considered to be one of the most important theorists on the field of Marx's theory of value. His Dissertation, "All Contraries Confounded: Historical Materialism and the Transition-to-Capitalism Debate", was awarded the "Doctoral Prize Award for Best Dissertation of the Year," Faculty of Arts, 1995. In 1995, Dr. Duchesne was appointed assistant professor in the department of social science at the University of New Brunswick, where he has remained since.
Duchesne's publications include 3 books, 51 refereed articles, one chapter, 13 encyclopedia entries, and numerous articles in magazines, newspapers, and academic online venues. His book, The Uniqueness of Western Civilization, a major work of 528 pages, was released in February 2011. In 2017 he published two books, Faustian Man in a Multicultural Age, and Canada in Decay: Mass Immigration, Diversity, and Ethnocide of Euro-Canadians.
Dr. Duchesne believes that the reading of great books, from cover-to-cover, is essential to a university education. The term 'lecture' was originally applied to the exercise of reading - and correcting - the language of handwritten texts. The task of the student was to follow the reading, and make the necessary corrections in the manuscripts. Since the texts were difficult, the teacher would concentrate on explaining and interpreting the manuscripts, line by line, word by word.
'Resources' such as handouts, power-points, and WebCT lectures promote the erroneous notion that knowledge comes ready-to-wear. Knowledge is actually produced through continual reading, note-taking, dialogue, and rewriting. Duchesne upholds the traditional spirit of broad learning for the BA degree with a multidisciplinary core curriculum taught by generalists with a strong grounding in the Western intellectual tradition.
Duchesne's publications can be found at Research Gate.

” McCain observes that, “There is a totalitarian tendency in academia that now seeks to silence certain perspectives by labelling them ‘hate speech,’ and it’s never the Marxist-Leninist revolutionaries who are silenced.”

Regardless of the " feels " of others nothing takes away the fact that "Canada in Decay:  Mass Immigration, Diversity & The Ethnocide of EuroCanadians" continues to remain in the best-seller ranking since its release in 2017.

Congratulations go to Ricardo Duchesne, author & a moral man of our time.
Thanks also to Henrik Palmgren at Red Ice TV Sweden for always being a great advocate for Ricardo's work... support indie media at http://redice.tv

Founder of Council of European Canadians writes regularly at their website http://eurocanadian.ca ~ Ricardo Duchesne hopes to publish his fourth book sometime in the near future... I look forward to it and continue to support him.

As global minorities its time that white Europeans woke up to the threats they face on this planet of being erased as a peoples by mass immigration programmes -- this is no time to be cowardly and complacent.

Mark Mercer - Honest rudeness or insincere civility - SAFS 2018

Mark Mercer, safs.ca talk from 2018 ... SAFS has about 200 members and growing,,,,, Society for Academic Freedom and Scholarship in Canada.

Mark Mercer was just on the front page of "The ChronicleHerald" newspaper in an article under the title:  "Bad moon rising - How assholes seem to be getting ahead" .. great!  Of note in the article is the promotion of filmmaker John Walker's "Assholes: A theory" and it will be shown tonight at the Park Lane in Halifax for the FIN Atlantic International Film Festival... as well it is to be shown at the Lunenberg Doc Fest September 21st [ http://lunenburgdocfest.com/ ] ---  and in October at the Parrsboro Film Festival .. this sort of stuff interests me, love freedom of expression & it never gets old for me and as assholes are prevalent in academia I'll probably go see at Parrsboro's Film Festival -- http://www.parrsborofilmfestival.com/

SAFS - Society for Academic Freedom & Scholarship - Frances Widdowson / Mark Mercer

Sidewalk chalk for SAFS.ca - Society for Academic Freedom & Scholarship - Canada - Mark Mercer shares letter from Frances Widdowson, MRU Alberta

Letters to the Editor
Globe and Mail, Saturday 17 August 2019
DIVERSITY IN ACADEMIA
I appreciated Margaret Wente’s column last Saturday, Diversity Runs Amok In Academia (Aug. 10). As a professor and a board member of the Society for Academic Freedom and Scholarship, I can attest to the increasing prominence of diversicrats in every aspect of university life.
“Diversity” policies, which are driven by the ideology of the politics of identity and entitlement, exhibit classic rent-seeking behaviour. By putting up barriers to entry, dictating ideology tests for hiring, and “tying” academic objectives to diversity criteria, scarce university resources can be diverted to diversiphiles.
The widespread acceptance of postmodern relativism in the social sciences and humanities also undermines any appreciation of academic standards. As a result, a great deal of university activity is spent on indulging the grievances of favoured identity groups, rather than pursuing the truth and increasing empirical knowledge and theoretical understanding.

Moncton Public Library Sculpture of "Frye" & Ricardo Duchesne, retired UNB Professor

Northrop Frye statue outside the entrance of Moncton Public Library

"As New Brunswick’s own Northrop Frye long ago observed, one purpose of a university education is to challenge incoming students’ beliefs to the core, and then train them in the critical thinking scholarship requires. Duchesne certainly challenged his students, not to mention his colleagues."

Interesting guy.

Do you want to live in a country where the media relies on the government for their economic livelihoods, which creates a clear conflict of interest and destroys objectivity, or a country where the citizens choose which media they trust and consume?

Would-be-censors aren't concerned with a culture of censorship because it's crucial to their thought-control goals. Self-censorship is a crucial component to State enforced censorship. All authoritarian tyrants understand it's easier to have people police themselves out of fear.
