Town Councillor's are paid approximately $2,000 per month and have zero accountability to anyone. They don't have to achieve anything and they're certainly not required to submit a list of things they have done to improve lives or the economy .. in fact, they are just warm bodies filling chairs giving lip service in a theatrical performance created to give you the sense they're actually doing anything useful. Meanwhile, bureaucratic organizations such as "South East Regional Service Commission" gain more power and more control every single month that goes by and are funded by government with zero input from the voting public and landowners... but no one wants to discuss that elephant in the room though.. do they? When big decisions are being made by these unelected very well paid minions over your life you have lost your democracy... its just that simple. #DefundSERSC
