At this link from Warktimes.com Bruce Wark local reporting [retired CBC news reporter]:
Wheel comes full circle as Debbie Wiggins-Colwell wins deputy mayor’s chair |
"Wiggins-Colwell will serve as deputy mayor until the next municipal election on May 11, 2026. The post comes with an annual pay raise of $5,258. The deputy mayor receives an annual salary of $31,548 while councillors get $26,290. Tantramar’s mayor is paid $52,581 per year."
I left a message a few years back for Debbie to call me back for a chat.. but she never did.. that's a pity.. and I won't be supporting her in any coming elections if she runs again for office as I like a responsive politician.. that's not too much to ask.. is it?

Of note when it comes to paydays.. they don't pay them a lot but enough to attract people who are happy to do as they are told by the local technocrats and "stay in line" if you know what I mean. I cannot point to anything this collection of politicians have actually achieved of note.Does our country reward mediocrity? Yes.
Ex-Prime Minister Liberal Justin Trudeau's annual pension from government is $210K+.
I also once dropped by to chat in person with Debbie Wiggins-Colwell at her Dorchester business.. no one was there and the door was locked in the afternoon.. so I left a note.. as I do..
Perhaps Debbie like so many just got the nudge from others that it is best to shun me.. I imagine that is the case. Girl power huh?
