On 20 December 2022 all the newly elected town councillors and mayor were sworn in to their oaths of office with the town's staffer Donna Beal overseeing this event in Dorchester at their local public venue VCC Veterans Community Centre. Donna Beal opened the event with the declaration that they were all gathered on "unceded territory" ... why? The first CAO for Tantramar Jennifer Bourne also made a speech about accomplishing our goals together... moving forward with a one community mindset. Hmm..?

Are the staff for the Town of Tantramar a law unto themselves and completely unaccountable to the taxpayers in the region? Yes.. they clearly are.
