Bonnie Swift Locks "Tantramar Community Concerns" Facebook Group To Private... Why?

Boomer Bonnie Swift is a failed politician with an appetite for 'managing the local herd online' and has taken over the task of administration of a seven year old group on Facebook with over 4,800 members since losing her run for Mayor of the Town of Tantramar -- Bonnie had campaigned on Open Government -- the group is found here:  Tantramar Community Concerns | Facebook
Bonnie Swift consistently complains about people's posts, deleting people randomly that she feels are 'trolls' and is now making sure no one else is able to see their discussions taking place online.  Unfortunate to see this controlling behaviour with such a lack of transparency after sounding off about her desire for "Open Government" during her campaign for Mayor.
Open discussions help more than private ones...

Bonnie Swift on the "Tantramar Community Concerns" Facebook group writes as follows:

"Bonnie Swift

9h
By Wednesday evening the group will be 100% private to only members. It takes 3 days for FB to turn on the request to go private. Once it is set to private only legit members will be able to view, post and comment. There will be no visitor views or comments like there was in the former public group. Hence, if you do get banned you will no longer be able to access any of the information on the site. This will also provide some much need privacy to our members as only members the group will be able to see and read your post and it will also cut down the spam accounts that many public groups get."

Bruce Wark had also written about Bonnie Swift at his website:

As Bonnie Swift is well aware there are many of us not able to use Facebook due to 'cancel culture' [including me!] and as someone who enjoys more free speech and liberty and more people willing to be uncomfortable discussing ideas I do not support her actions to 'close off the information being shared by others' .. such as this poster of a local fundraiser event.

Not everyone uses Facebook so this eight year old blog is public access in the region and reaches lots of people worldwide... my readership is global and widespread... that is a very good thing! Total transparency.
