June 19, 2026: Application deadline
Entrance fee: $35,000.
For reference, that $35,000 is $5,000 higher than Liberal fee that led to Susan Holt's win in a four-horse race including Donald Arseneault, Robert Gauvin, and T.J. Harvey.
To vote? The rules say party members must pay a $40 registration fee to become an elector.
A non-member must purchase a two-year membership and pay the registration fee for a combined $50.
The Liberal leadership convention had no fees to vote, and no fee to registered Liberals who wanted to attend the convention.
Also interesting: Only voting my mail.
It's also one vote, preferential ballot.
That sadly removes all the fun that was the 2016 convention with all the scramble for endorsements re:
Monica Barley and Jake Stewart.
That was one hell of a day. #NB
