Unfortunately, their need for "privacy" interferes with the overall need for local transparency... that was a choice made by current administrator Bonnie Swift [failed candidate for Mayor]. Best avoided.

Town Councillor Josh Goguen created Tantramar Community Chatter but keeps it marked "private" which is also a concern when it comes to transparency and content.

If a small group of people continue to control the flow of information and disclosure the public will not get the information they need. Problematic. Intimidating people into submission and censoring them is a sign that they might be worth paying attention. I discovered "Tantramar Community Concerns" had abusive commentary posted years ago online when I could view the group because it was marked "public" in the days when it was run by Michael Landry [founder of the group] and called "Sackville Community Concerns". Michael and I keep in touch on Twitter these days... he has an interest in promoting free speech and disclosure.
