"From the Desk of Daniel Tyrie, Executive Director, People’s Party of Canada | 22/02/2020
This email is to serve as notification of the appointment of a new Provincial Coordinator in your area. Effective immediately Bret Sears has been appointed as the Provincial Coordinator for the province of New Brunswick.
Bret is a proud PPC founding member and believes strongly in our Party’s founding principles. Bret grew up in Nova Scotia where he earned his Bachelor's Degree from St. F.X. University. After living in Alberta for a number of years, he returned home to the Maritimes and settled in Saint John to raise his family of 4. He has lived here for the past 12 years where he works with a medium sized Surveying, Engineering and Consulting company.
Since its inception, Bret has served as CEO of the Saint John-Rothesay PPC Association. Leading up to the 2019 election, Bret was selected by his fellow EDA Executives in NB to be the main point of contact to PPC HQ. From this informal position Bret took on a critical role in organizing Maxime’s Leaders Tour in New Brunswick including events in Saint John, Moncton, Miramichi and Fredericton. Bret has already brought so much to our organization in New Brunswick, and we are excited to see what he can accomplish as Provincial Coordinator..
In this role, Bret will act as an intermediary between National Headquarters and the New Brunswick. Bret will be responsible for strategic coordination between EDAs in New Brunswick, providing leadership to our members in the area, and assisting HQ in planning in the rolling out of national projects as well as local events. Bret’s first main project will be to oversee and support EDAs in organizing their Annual General Meetings which will include annual elections for the Executive positions on each EDA’s Board of Directors. All questions or suggestions relating to PPC organization in New Brunswick should be directed toward Bret.
Keep in mind, Bret is serving in this role in a volunteer capacity and may not always be immediately available. That being said, Bret has demonstrated a great dedication to the People’s Party of Canada over the last year, and we have the utmost faith in what he will bring to this role.
You can reach Bret at bret@peoplespartyofcanada.ca
