Housing in Tantramar - Eco-Village Project Not for Profit Gets Funding by the Government? Why?

The Board of Freshwinds is excited to be applying for funding, so that housing can be built on the gentle sunny slopes behind the 64 Fairfield Road property we have purchased.

Do you want to be a part of this exciting project?

Freshwinds Eco-Village will be collection of buildings, joined by lanes and walkways, with access to trails, gardens and a playground.

We hope to build 63 units: a mix of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-
bedroom and 4-bedroom units.
° Some of the units will be barrier-free (i.e. on one level, with room for wheelchair access)
° Some units will be subsidized for those with lower incomes, with support from the NB Department of Social Development (you will need to meet a low income threshold to qualify).
° Some will be in small 3-storey apartment buildings; others will be in townhome-style buildings.

Do you see yourself living here, cooperatively, in this kind of housing?

If so, then we want to hear from you!

Email us at info@freshwindscooperative.ca, with the following information:

Your name
Your contact information
The size of unit you would like
If you’d like barrier-free and/or subsidized housing

Once we hear from you we will
- send you more information about Co-op Housing
- put you on our Waiting List

Then, once our project is funded, we will proceed with inviting you to enter into the process of becoming a member (that has a small cost – no need for that at this point!), and considering the housing that will be available.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Why are people such as Sabine Dietz [shown above speaking in council chambers this week] expecting the government to give them money for their pet projects?Wouldn't we all like to see less people going to government and asking for money? The entitlement mentality is off the charts here.
Unfortunately, we hear far too much from Sabine Dietz and not enough from the regular people who do not share her viewpoints on private property, the climate, and housing.
