Perhaps the brand should be renamed "Social Justice Chocolate"...
From Syria, to Lebanon, to Toronto, to Antigonish .. Chocolate seller, activist and spokeman for mass immigration in the maritimes .. Tareq lectures people daily on his Facebook about how to be better Canadians... https://www.facebook.com/peacebychocolate/
"As newcomers to this land that we are now privileged to call home, our family feels honoured to be able to work with the indigenous people of this region on a new fundraising project: Nitap Bars. These special little bars are made in collaboration with and endorsed by the Paq’tnkek Band Council of the Paq’tnkek Mi’kmaw Nation, located just east of our new home of Antigonish, NS and help to support a program we co-sponsored and supported to launch in March 2019.
Profits from Nitap (the Mi’kmaw word for “friend” or “buddy”) Bars help fund indigenous nitap programming that highlights, celebrates, and helps keep alive important Mi’kmaw community traditions such as drumming, dancing, basket weaving, and elder story telling, as well as traditional outdoor skills like fishing, hunting, canoeing, and tipi rituals.
Nitap Bars are sold exclusively by the Band, at our Peace By Chocolate retail store in Antigonish, and at local area markets & events, and the profits provide ongoing funding for these important programs. With five delicious flavours to choose from and the proceeds being donated to such a great cause, it’s a win-win! If you are nearby, be a friend and give one a try."
"Peace by Chocolate" guy says he believes in FREEDOM yet he criticizes those Canadians who oppose MASS immigration and calls them hateful .. he is relieved that Maxime Bernier billboards were removed ... just amazing...
> "Emotions were high in Halifax and beyond after a series of political anti-immigration billboards went up across the country at the end of last week, including one very close to home in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Thankfully the company that owns the advertising space has listened to public feedback and the billboards are coming down.
If you are familiar with our story, you will understand why the issue of Canadian immigration is one that is very personal to our family. Without Canada’s open doors and open arms, we would not have had the chance to create a new and peaceful life, surrounded by such a welcoming and supportive community, in a safe place.
With such a hateful message being so loudly proclaimed along roadsides throughout the country, we would like to share something uplifting in the midst of all the turmoil these billboards have created:
Since photos of the billboard started being shared online late Friday our social media and email inboxes have been flooded with messages of support, encouragement, and love from countless people, vocalizing how the people who paid to put up that message do not speak for all Canadians. A number of people, from other newcomers to descendants of European immigrants to members of our nearby indigenous communities, went out of their way to reinforce to our family that we are welcomed, loved, and valued members of this society.
In customer service it’s often said that people are much more vocal about a negative experience than they are about a positive one, but these kind messages have been a nice demonstration that sometimes kind people can shout just as loudly as the hateful ones. Thank you for shouting, friends."
Tareq might be surprised to know that many [ two-thirds ] Canadians oppose mass immigration including Stephen Garvey, National Citizens Alliance and Trav Patron, Canadian Nationalist Party and Maxime Bernier, People's Party of Canada - all these new Canadian federally registered parties are running candidates in the upcoming election on October 21, 2019... a trio of white guys who kind of know that we all come from a place of liberty and don't need to be lectured on that..
populism is rising.. immigration is a hot topic ... and of course this was the billboard that has caused such a stir ...
The message on the billboard is not “controversial” for two thirds of Canadians who agree with it, and for those who disagree but support free speech and an open discussion.
It’s only controversial for the totalitarian leftist mob who want to censor it.
