Town Hall Meeting June 10, 2019 - Controversial Discussions on Staffing

WarkTimes.com - Bruce Wark has recorded accurately Bruce Phinney's comments as Town Councillor at Sackville.com as follows:

"June 10, 2019: Council Bruce Phinney's remarks to Sackville Town Council regarding his opposition to the motion authorizing town staff to apply for further funding for Phase III of the Lorne Street storm water mitigation project: I'll be voting against this first of all because as I said all along, I have no intention of approving [acquiring] the quarry. I don't feel the town needs it. It's a liability and as I said last month and in December, I have no faith in Crandall Engineering. And I've recommended that actually they be removed and replaced by another engineering firm. I'm starting to have great concerns even about our staff. So, I'm actually even making a recommendation that Mr. Burke, Mr. Acton and Mr. Handrahan be removed from the employment of this town and find somebody to replace them as well. And that's how I feel. Thank you. [Mayor Higham suggests that there is no real immunity for the words that Phinney said about staff and that legal action could be taken against him. "It's just a warning that's all. We all heard what you said and we understand that, but...] Phinney responds: The reason I'm recommending it is because of the $525,000 mistake that was made by these people. Thank you."

As of 2015 Phil Handrahan, Ron Kelly-Spurles and Matt Pryde who run the Facebook removed my ability to ask questions/comment on their Facebook page for the Town of Sackville.  There was no message or warning just a ban.

So I support the comments that Bruce Phinney has made about the removal of Phil Handrahan from the employment of the Town of Sackville... and this blog exists because of the oppressive CAO management style and his actions towards me directly and my right to free speech as a taxpayer and property owner in the Town.  Un-personing another for their questions online is unacceptable behaviour of all town employees.  I most likely am not the only person this has happened to.

Furthermore, when Ron Kelly-Spurles films me on the street with his camera phone and threatens to call the police because I ask him a question about his actions towards me online that is harassment.  I request, respectfully, that Ron Kelly-Spurles be fired from his position as "Tourism Manager" for the Town and replaced with an adult who knows how to speak politely and coherently.
