We’ve known the effects for a couple of generations but have lacked politicians with the nerve to stand up and make the small sacrifices to avoid bigger ones in the future. We keep cowardly passing the buck to the next generation instead of exploring alternatives, leaving them to deal with running out of oil AND more flooding and ticks and heatstrokes for the elderly and and and, when we could make much smaller sacrifices now, create new industries and jobs. If someone were taking something from you like that, wouldn’t you want to have your say?

Mr. Michael Porter on Facebook has also weighed in about the "climate strike action" youth with this insightful comment regarding "Indie Media Eastcoast" - thanks Michael - I don't know what gives some people the right to think they can publish a media website without permission from the CBC and such:
