Why Is Min. Dominic Leblanc's Sister-in-Law In Charge of Investigating? Ethics, again..

Senator Denise Batters...

In Senate Question Period, Senator Denise Batters asks the Trudeau Government Senate Leader about the stunning news that broke this week regarding the Ethics Commissioner's office. The sister-in-law of senior Trudeau Minister Dominic Leblanc is the Acting Director of Investigations in this office.

The Ethics Commissioner's office must be completely independent from any government, and have its integrity be unquestioned. It’s outrageous that a person in this high-level position could potentially investigate any Trudeau Government minister or the Prime Minister himself.

Once again, the Trudeau government shows that their definition of "independence" bears no resemblance to the actual definition of independence!

Trudeau's Senate Leader brushes off this alarming situation since he says that the Ethics Commissioner's office believed it was "not suspect in their mind". Surely, the ethical bar must be higher than this!
