So a collective of people, i.e. a "community" is speaking for everyone else...
that's 'eco fascism' .. no matter what good intentions these people have for development .. these giant birdchoppers are "unreliables" and crony capitalism. A "community" Sackville "group" is now seeking to put a windfarm in - on the hill approaching town - which is said to be able to power 7,000 homes https://www.conservationcouncil.ca/en/proposed-community-owned-wind-farm-would-power-up-to-7000-sackville-homes/

The Wind4All family is a collection of five companies with one simple aspiration – to provide communities across Nova Scotia with the opportunity to invest in wind energy…. to invest locally in Nova Scotia’s renewable energy resource.

The Amherst wind facility consists of 15 Suzlon S97 wind turbines located in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia near the town of Amherst, totalling approximately 32 megawatts of installed capacity. The electricity generated is sold to Nova Scotia Power Inc. under a long-term power purchase agreement.
Capstone holds an indirect 51% interest in the Amherst wind facility with the remaining 49% held by Firelight Infrastructure Partners. If I had to speculate on what the Fort Folly First Nations land acquisition of the former CBC radio towers lands will become .. I would say a windfarm .. the partnerships with 'first nations' and 'economic development' funds makes it possible and its unlikely the land would be useful for much else but I guess time will tell. I suspect Mayor Higham in Sackville knows but isn't saying too much at this point .. he works with consulting and 'natives' https://warktimes.com/2018/12/13/sackville-councillors-hear-about-new-indigenous-reserve-and-commercial-development-near-aulac/

Windfarm: probably in the future for that space… I noticed not long ago that Mayor Higham’s other job is a ‘consultant with natives’ .. so he could probably make his happen as a legacy project before he finishes up next year and is finally voted out.. I thought a casino at first .. but a green team would not want to pass up the opportunity to put some bird choppers in there with the right partnerships in place — funding just seems to flow .. its amazing really .. Fort Folly First Nations Windfarm .. eh? Of course this could easily be facilitated by the likes of the Tucz-King’s who already were trying to percolate something on the ridge into town .. it just seems like a win-win for the green cronyists who brought us the green $14million town hall back in 2012.. doesn’t it? Just my prediction..https://www.conservationcouncil.ca/en/proposed-community-owned-wind-farm-would-power-up-to-7000-sackville-homes/
