many people riddled with guilt about their carbon footprints are going smaller..
There's a comedy/drama Netflix film called "Downsizing" with Matt Damon.
In the old days a large home and family was something to strive for and work hard for and enjoy and celebrate and cherish in this town .. a big home was a symbol of success. A big home on property perhaps a few acres or more represented a way to be independant, have a garden, raise livestock, fish ponds, grow your own food, cut down trees to build items with and perhaps create products to sell as well as wood to burn to stay warm and cook with .. today you are looking at a future of less .. because in a nation as large as Canada people are dumbed down enough to believe their behaviour affects the climate - it doesn't - the sun does.
Its OK to not join the cult in this town .. its OK to be a Friend of Science and not a friend of Al Gore... http://friendsofscience.org/
If this trend continues the future looks 'dense' and 'compact' .. good luck with that.
