‘Refugees pay life savings but end up homeless as traffickers say EU will accept them'

Last year Spain witnessed a record number of migrant arrivals by sea with many of them helped across by people smugglers. In what's claimed to be the first ever interview with a human trafficker from Morocco, the man told political activist Lauren Southern, that moving people from North Africa to Europe is a hugely lucrative business.
