Light from above gives a unique reminiscence of being outdoors (where the sun's light is always above us). In this sculpted cave-like space, the skylight is downright ethereal.

The trick is controlling heat gain in summer...so if you live somewhere that is hot in summer, have a plan for shading any skylights.
