Update: Dodie Perkin & rev. John Perkin founded "Sackville Refugee Response Coalition"

Does anyone in Sackville New Brunswick have as much clout as the Perkin duo?
Both are employed by Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick.

Hello friends,
You may or may not have heard that we have an imminent arrival (tomorrow evening - cross your fingers that all goes well!). ❤️
We are still looking for two specific household items to complete our list: a twin mattress, and a double bed frame. Can you help?
If so, reach out to srrcsackville@gmail.com, or Sarah at (506) 381-4871.

Their combined household income would probably be around $150K easily.
They are not typical maritimers.  They do not live paycheque to paycheque.
They do however feel they are authorized to speak for us as "community leaders".

When a local - such as myself - tries to promote a great new concrete skatepark project for the local youth and is treated so badly I have to wonder why - and I have to ask the questions no one else will around here.  Town Councillor Bruce Phinney advised me - after I handed him a $20 gift certificate for the "Painted Pony Restaurant" as a way to say thanks for speaking up on the corruption with Jamie Burke and the multimillion dollar pond project - that I was considered a "low class, unimportant troublemaker " in the region - this was said in the presence of Town Councillor Shawn Mesheau during a discussion on the street near the Post Office downtown in 2019 -- I never attend at Town Hall for any meetings.  Ever.

I have no problem discussing ideas with anyone but I do have a huge problem with people who slander me, lie about me, and go out of their way to shit on me and prevent me from attending the campus of Mount Allison University for a year out of spite - that caused me to miss an important graduation event in 2016.

Why does the promotion of "refugee sponsorship" seem so important to some and why is discussion around this topic so taboo online?  Michael Freeman is the Sackville Farmers Market manager who moved here around 2014/2015 - he is from New York State USA and lives with Julia Feltham who created the "Sackville Commons" at the old firehall site on the main street next to the library.
The corruption surrounding the acquisition of that site has been written about here as well - it seems to be a chronic problem with many trough feeders/grifters here.. http://tantramarlandownersassociation.blogspot.com/2018/11/corruption-is-fact-of-life-sidewinders.html

I prefer to have an open debate not private meeting with people and as I no longer have Facebook - which should come as a relief to the Perkin duo - I have to note that these questions remain:  why put non-Canadians first in your fundraising efforts here?  Are there not people in need here you could help instead of importing foreigners to our region? There are not enough jobs here to support large numbers of non-english speaking newcomers into our towns and schools - in fact many of our Canadian youth leave here and the maritimes in general due to lack of work opportunities - I think this must be addressed - adults should discuss this.

When rev. Perkin was heard on a CBC national radio interview he claimed that our region "needed more diversity" which is another way of saying its "too white around here".. I found that very insulting and degrading to the Tantramar region.
This group has grown to over 800 people on Facebook.. how many of them live here, own homes here, pay taxes here?  The term "astroturfing" refers to an effort to create the appearance of "grassroots" when in fact something is manufactured.

Has anyone asked the people of this region if they would like to be targetted and "seeded for diversity" by an influx of newcomers?  Does the fact that his coalition works directly with the United Nations not bother anyone else?  When did we decide to let the United Nations dictate to us and influence our immigration programmes?

Its only possible when people voluntarily give their time to this "refugee fundraising" action.  Why do they do it?  Do they feel this region is "too white" and needs to be "diversified"? Why do they feel that way?  SRRC - Facebook https://www.facebook.com/SRRCSackville/

Meanwhile in 2020 the reality is this.. Lawyers are getting very rich on this work:

THE MARITIMES IS TARGETTED for big changes and 'more diversity' as we experience a wave of 'newcomers' who will forever change the ethnic make-up - most unnaturally by a forced influx  - you will not recognize this part of Canada in just a matter of a few decades!

Atlantic Canada’s immigration revolution continues

Immigration to Atlantic Canada continues to rise significantly with Nova Scotia and New Brunswick leading the way through the Provincial Nominee Program and Atlantic Immigration Pilot
