Taking Down Artwork & Cheering on the Surveillance State? Bruce Wark Reports

Poetry on the Poles [ the missing page ] --
the pole was damaged in a storm and replaced
.. so this plaque is gone....

Plans to remove the terrific portraits-charcoal artwork at the ice arena... its apparently a 'space issue'...

Our very well paid town employee and hired from Truro NS Mr. Matt Pryde who has arrogantly just laughed at me and walked away when I have tried to discuss a great concrete skatepark project, says:

“We feel that with a small [$6,000] operational increase for the year that we could actually make a pretty nice looking display.." [why spend any money on this Matt?]
Also, cameras around town to 'reduce crime' @ $350,000 plus ? So ... are our local drunken sailors at it again lavishly spending taxpayer money ... again because that's all they know how to do... is this constructive work? Does it improve the quality of life for townsfolk? No.  I could think of much better ways to spend $350,000 plus on quality of life.

Perhaps the people haven't realized this yet but #taxation is theft .. and it gives governments a license to waste money and fritter it away endlessly.. a project such as surveillance cameras should have to go to a referendum.
