Nina Kouprianova on Russia's Natalism

This lecture was part of a Summer Course on 'The Future of the European Union: demography, education and sustainability' organized by Diego Varela at Universidade da Coruña in 2012. Nina Kouprianova was finishing her PhD thesis at the University of Toronto, with a thesis on soviet propaganda in the 1920s. This recorded lecture was shown prior to a live video conference between California and Europe in wich Dr. Kouprianova answerd questions from the audience at Universidade da Coruña. This was a path-breaking experiment that can be considered a very early precursor of the current EUROSCI Network, which fosters inter-university cooperation with the help of new technologies.
