In pursuit of their scholarly goals, members of the university may take positions that are not in accord with popular beliefs. We oppose measures such as speech codes, extra-legal tribunals and so-called anti-hate legislation that may infringe on the right and responsibility of the academic community (faculty and students) to teach and do research on controversial subjects.

George Washington Grew & Used Hemp .. and Tantramar can too
A group of hemp farming supporters visited Mount Vernon during Hemp History Week, May 17 - 23, 2010, and were taken on an educational tour exploring George Washington's farming and use of industrial hemp. Tour guides show the areas where hemp was grown at Mount Vernon as well as how George Washington used hemp for textiles, fish nets and other purposes. An Ethics and Transparency Issue? Discuss & Take Note of Commi Actions in Sackville NB [They used to call them bolsheviks]
30something Julia Feltham banned me [as had the Town of Sackville] from commenting on her Facebook page "Sackville Commons" - see her town approved/promoted page here... https://www.facebook.com/CoworkSackville
why? for asking her if she "ever gets tired of building a nannystate? " ... she was transplanted here from Halifax in 2013 or so and immediately took a position offered by Harold Jarche with local funded communitarian organization " Renaissance Sackville " and once there she used her influence [apparently holding an office space within the town hall according to Bruce Phinney, Town Councillor] to write a bogus 'expert's' report that said that the old abandoned Town Firehall could not be renovated .. so hey folks, I want to see that report created by her and given to the Town.. and she then took her 'skills' and helped to procure the Town's Firehall and lands cheaply for John Lafford and for her new endeavour for the 'community' for a 'hub' for start-ups -- just as she was running in Halifax previously... which is what? for who? So .. OK, sorry, that's a serious ethics issue and I would like this issue addressed and I would like to know how much the Town's Firehall was sold to very cheaply to John Lafford as he now holds this valuable in town land and buildings property for cheap with Julia's help.. Julia now pays very low rent to run her communitarian hub out of it and has received and will continue to receive grants/govt funding to renovate and operate it .. Julia is charging people to use the space, helping create 'start ups' that compete directly with existing 'true free enterprisers' and boasting non-stop while doing it... what a grifter !!! So when the Town previously owned the property that sat empty for four years after they built a $14million town hall down the street that no one asked for why weren't the taxpayers ever asked .. they had to pay for the all of this .. our old Firehall and lands ... so why was it handed over for next to nothing to a very wealthy developer John Lafford? Why did no one ever think to convert it to something useful for the public good such as a youth centre incorporating a skatepark as the youth had asked for in 2013 when they presented to council and mayor [led by former Mayor Pat Estabrooks grandson Ethan and friends]? When asked to her face last year about using the current space for a youth centre / skatepark Julia said "... oh .. WE have a five year plan .. " so who is the WE? The clique-y self appointed 'community leaders' and 'community builders' .. these arrogant people who think they have special powers and influence? If that's the case then as a Mum with skateboarding teens in this town - living here since 2010 - I have made a lot of effort to get a new skatepark project off the ground - its all been for nothing and I have been continually censored from social media because the town does not and will not stop promoting these type of communitarian imported 'global communitarian change agents' .. and its corruption folks.. plain and simple.. no ethics .. no spine .. no backbone .. just greed .. pure greed. Sickening. Our Youth Deserve a new Great Skate Park Venue... Your town got a nannystate subsidized 'start up' brewery next to a children's playground instead... this is just so unfair! Well done technocrats...the same stench of corruption is coming from the $60million windfarm [Tusz Kings et al] they are trying to put in that no one want here... by the usual suspects... So there's a little chunk of asphalt added on to the old skate park and a half pipe is coming... .maybe for next skate year .. I am an honest person but I can only call it like I see it.
